About the event
We will take you through a range of game preparation options from skinning to plate for:
Small game bird
Fish
(Exact species will vary according to the season and availability at the time of the course).
You will be taken through the steps of skinning and butchering each animal in a woodland setting and making your own delicious meals with them incorporating some foraged finds to make a truly wild hearty meal.
Throughout this course we will be looking at basic food hygiene, game preparation/butchery and animal anatomy, plant identification, outdoor cooking techniques and general safety. The meals and plants we will be looking at will vary according to the changing seasons and what’s available at the time.
